HISTORY OF THE
Since inception in the 1990’s, our charity golf tournament has raised millions of dollars for worthy charities including March of Dimes, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Cancer Support, Kidz1stFund and more. We continue to build on the success started so many years ago in partnership with Peter Nauert at the Lake Geneva Charitable Classic, which was later moved to Austin and rebranded as the Hill Country Classic. The Hill Country Classic made its way to Clearwater, Florida the last couple of years , however, in 2016, we are excited to be back in Austin. Taking advantage of the positive vibes of Austin and the spirit of Texas, this year’s Hill Country Classic will be the best yet!
Our friends in the insurance industry and key regulatory officials will be invited, as well as many of our Austin friends and family, bringing a true local flavor to the Hill Country Classic in 2016. Our mission of supporting children’s charities continues this year as we have partnered with the Central Texas Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as they fight to find a cure and help thousands of children and families who are touched by this disease.
Please join us for a fun time with old friends and new, all for a fantastic cause that is close to our hearts.
See you in April!
HILL COUNTRY CLASSIC
The 2016 Hill Country Classic has partnered with the Central Texas Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is a life-threatening, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and progressively limits the ability to breathe.
When the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation was established in 1955, people born with the disease weren't expected to live to attend elementary school. Today, because of our efforts, people with CF are living into their 30s, 40s and beyond. Read about the incredible journey to cure cystic fibrosis.
The mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is to cure cystic fibrosis and to provide all people with the disease the opportunity to lead full, productive lives by funding research and drug development, promoting individualized treatments, and ensuring access to high quality, specialized care. Thanks to the dedication and financial backing of our supporters — patients, families and friends, medical professionals, researchers, volunteers, individual donors, corporations and staff — we are making a difference.
As our primary charity, the Central Texas Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation will receive 100% of all funds designated for its use.
We look forward to being able significantly contribute to this cause with your help.

The Pairings Party will take place at River Place Country Club in Austin, TX.
This fun-filled night will include dinner, tournament pairings announcement, and a presentation from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a deserving charity that is truly making a difference in our lives.
The golf tournament will take place at River Place Country Club. Over 6,600 yards of rolling hills, twisting creeks and rocky canyons comprise this memorable and challenging golf course. The course was originally opened in 1984, with a redesign in 1995 through the combined efforts of Tom Kite and Roy Bechtol. The championship design, as well as one of Austin’s premier Hill Country settings, makes this golf course a truly spectacular gem.
Our format for the tournament will again be a two person better ball with a few special rules and requirements thrown in to keep it interesting.
Pairings will be announced April 27th at our evening event, the tournament is a shotgun start in the morning on April 28th.
